Superhero Super Day!

What a truly Super day we had at our first @superheroseries Superhero Tri event on Saturday, powered by Marvel.

As the Superhero Series celebrated its 10^th Anniversary, it’s clear to see why this is such a popular event. We were proud to be part of such an inclusive sporting event.

Armed with our pom-poms, we took our positions as SideKicks to cheer on the amazing athletes taking part.  From children and adults to families and friends, it was a powerful celebration of everyday Superheroes.  Seeing the determination of all those taking part to cross the finish line, after their swim, cycle and run, especially in the hot conditions, was inspiring. 

The atmosphere throughout all day was terrific and we were delighted to be positioned next to conquering Horizons and Bupa.  Bupa kept everyone entertained with their activity tent, we spent some time honing our bean bag throwing skills, only getting a little competitive!  Conquering Horizons showcased their Omni wheelchair with Olympian champion Peter Reed for Channel4.  We even got to take the Omni for a spin ourselves, which was one of the highlights of the day.

Congratulations to everyone who took part, you are all inspiring, and we hope you all had an unforgettable day.

The highlights will be on Channel4 on the 29^th August with Clare Balding, we look forward to watching to relive the action.
