Brotherwood Kia Sorento VISION Launch

The exciting launch of the new Brotherwood Kia Sorento VISION conversion at the Mobility Roadshow on the 27th June was the culmination of many months of development and careful planning. New techniques ensured that not only did we have a fully working vehicle on display on the Brotherwood stand, but also had another in which to carry out demonstrations. The Sorento marks a landmark change in Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle choice! Many conversions available on the market are based on cars that stem from a ‘commercial vehicle’ background such as the VW Caddy, Citroën Berlingo and several others. No criticism of these vehicles is implied; they satisfy the needs of a wheelchair carrying car extremely well. We just feel that ‘Wouldn’t it be nice to offer more choice of vehicle?’ Available space is obviously of prime importance, but what we have strived to do at Brotherwood Automobility is to provide that space within a variety of vehicles to give our customers the maximum choice. A good example of this was the successful launch of our X-Trail conversion based on Nissan’s first version of this popular vehicle. Since then we have constantly been looking for a worthy replacement. We believe we have found that replacement with the new Kia Sorento; exceeding our previous success with the X-Trail by developing a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) conversion where the wheelchair passenger sits alongside the driver – the preferred position for many of our customers. All of our conversions are aimed primarily at the needs of the wheelchair passenger, but with the Brotherwood Kia Sorento VISION we unashamedly have also considered the driver and provided a choice of vehicle that will appeal to many. The Kia Sorento is a ground-breaking SUV with ample space for seating combined with agility and comfort in one stylish package. There are 4 models in the range comprising the ‘KX-1’, ‘KX-2’, ‘KX-2 Sat Nav’ and the range-topping ‘KX-3’. Many features come as standard, with the opportunity to customise the vehicle even further to make it the vehicle of your dreams.
