FABRICATOR WELDER & CONVERSION ENGINEER

A skilled craftsman is needed to manufacture components and assemblies to engineering drawings and very tight tolerances.  The position will also involve the extensive conversion of brand new base vehicles in order for them to safely carry a wheelchair.   A weld test will be required - all applicants are expected to produce welds to BS 4872 and pass a coded test once employed.

PLANNING ASSISTANT

We require a highly organised applicant to assist the Planning Manager with the ordering, receipt and planning of the base vehicles underpinning the company’s range of converted wheelchair accessible vehicles.

The role involves translating each bespoke customer order into a successful conversion for the company’s discerning customers. This includes processing Purchase and Sale Orders, liaison with several dealerships, as well as setting up the conversion in the company’s production system.

Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:

  • Transfer Conversion Orders into Base Vehicle Purchase Orders
  • Liaise with Suppliers (Dealerships) to ensure agreed Delivery Date
  • Maintain Supplier Status Register
  • Produce Vehicle Arrival/Production Job Cards
  • Post Production Processing e.g. recording of batch numbers
  • Raise quotes and liaise with Insurance companies for specialised repairs
  • Processing one-off, customer led Jobs, After Sales requests, Servicing etc.
  • Maintain Production Projection Reports
  • Process Orders and Invoicing for Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle associated accessories
  • Deputise for Planning Manager

Essential Knowledge / Experience Required:

  • Strong written and verbal communications
  • Experience of organising and prioritising work effectively
  • The ability to work successfully both autonomously and as part of a team
  • Computer literate and experienced with working with IT systems
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel
  • Attention to detail
  • Good Communication Skills
  • GSCE Maths, English or equivalent

Beneficial Knowledge / Experience Required:

  • Sage Accounts Line 50 experience
  • Production Planning experience
