Devizes charity to hold 30th anniversary wheelchair push

The Devizes branch of a national charity, which has been bringing disabled people together and helping them to integrate into their communities for over 50 years, is to hold a sponsored wheelchair push for the 30th time.

Members of the Wiltshire division of Phab have said that they are delighted to have reached this impressive milestone; the man who founded the event, Michael Braund, commented that theirs is the 'only Phab club in the country' which runs such an annual occasion and that it now regularly raises between £2,000 and £2,500.

Phab operates all over the UK and specialises in running weekly activities for its members, as well as practical support, including comfortable and easy everyday transport via their range of wheelchair vehicles.

The 2013 Phab Devizes wheelchair push will take place tomorrow, Saturday 18th May, and will also feature a fancy dress and hat contest that will be judged by the town's mayor and mayoress, and a local TV personality.
