A wheelchair accessible vehicle is no different to insure than an unconverted vehicle, with the notable exception of needing to indicate that it has been converted to transport a wheelchair user. Therefore, you must advise the insurance company of this as you will need to cover the vehicle for the full replacement value (ie car plus conversion). You can insure a converted vehicle through any of the major insurance companies, but we do recommend particular firms who specialise in and understand all aspects of mobility and with whom you may not have to go through as much detail as with companies who are less familiar.
